Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026. Engineering summary — not legal advice.
Overview
The Redemption Project (TRP) respects your privacy. This policy describes what information we collect through the public TRP app and website, how we use it, and the choices available to you.
This policy applies to app.theredemptionproject.news and related public pages. It does not cover third-party sites such as the Fourthwall store, Substack newsroom, or social platforms linked from TRP.
Information we collect
Contact and feedback: When you submit store feedback, we may collect your name or alias, email address, feedback text, and optional email opt-in preference. Submissions are stored privately and reviewed before any public display.
Letters to the Editor: When you submit a letter, we collect legal name, preferred published name, email, phone, city/state, optional affiliation, disclosure text, letter content, and consent records. Email and phone are used for verification and editor follow-up only. Legal name and phone are not published. Only accepted letters marked published may appear publicly with preferred name and city/state.
Prayer requests: The prayer form may open your email client with a pre-filled message. TRP does not store prayer content on our servers unless a secure intake backend is explicitly enabled.
Usage data: TRP does not currently run third-party analytics or crash reporting in the public app. The app may collect limited first-party interaction analytics such as which articles, podcasts, and homepage CTAs you click. These events use a privacy-conscious anonymous session identifier stored in your browser and do not include your name, email, phone number, letter content, precise location, or browser fingerprint. Standard hosting logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) may be retained briefly for security and reliability.
How we use information
Respond to feedback, sponsorship inquiries, and support requests.
Improve TRP content, app performance, and user experience.
Protect against spam, abuse, and unauthorized access.
Comply with legal obligations when required.
What we do not do
We do not sell or rent personal information to advertisers or data brokers.
We do not publish store feedback, prayer requests, Letters to the Editor private verification fields, or private messages without explicit editorial approval.
We do not expose server-only credentials (API keys, service role keys, or social tokens) in the public app.
We do not send push notifications unless you opt in through a future native app release with explicit permission.
Third-party services
Store purchases are processed on Fourthwall. Podcast and article content may link to Substack, YouTube, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and other platforms with their own privacy policies.
Command Center integrations fetch public-safe content (live status, approved reviews, ad slots, social posts) without exposing private editorial workflows.
Data retention and deletion
Store feedback submissions are retained for review and customer support unless deletion is requested.
The public app does not currently offer user accounts. You may request deletion of submitted feedback or other personal data on the account and data deletion page.
Visit /account/delete or use the link below to start a deletion, correction, or access request.
You may also contact us at the email below to request deletion, correction, or access to information you submitted.
Children's privacy
TRP is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent.
Changes
We may update this policy as features evolve. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
